Garbine Muguruza defeats Venus Williams at Wimbledon

Garbine Muguruza's first Wimbledon win in the women's singles category is going to be memorable for many reasons, one of which is her victory against Venus Williams who is “like a role model.”
The 7-5, 6-0 victory is the 23-year-old's second major singles title. With this win and her win against Serena Williams at the French Open last year, Muguruza becomes the first player to win against both the Williams sisters at a major singles final.
The champion is missing her coach Sam Sumyk, who has taken time to be with his pregnant wife, but is all praise for him and Conchita Martinez, who was the first Wimbledon women's singles winner before Muguruza.
