Gautham is Karthik in 'VRV'

The name of the character played by Gautham Karthik in his upcoming release 'Vai Raja Vai' is Karthik. "Aishwarya (R Dhanush) wanted me to have my original name. Since I had already used Gautham in another film, I opted for my surname Karthik," he says.
The young actor is optimistic about the prospects of 'Vai Raja Vai', his third film as hero, in the box-office. "Aishwarya has ensured that 'Vai Raja Vai' has shaped up as an engaging entertainer," he says.
Ask him about his experience working with two beautiful women- Priya Anand and Taapsee Pannu- he says, "Both are dedicated artistes and they have become my good friends too. We shot on a cruise and we had an amazing time."
