Gautham Karthik one of the young actors in Tamil cinema is the son of yesteryear hero Navarasa Nayagan Karthik and grandson of legendary actor Muthuraman. The 33 year old is busy with films such as 'August 16 1947' produced by A.R. Murugadoss and 'Pathu Thala' costarring Simbu and directed by Obeli N Krishna.

It was earlier reported that while filming 'Devarattam' in 2019 Gautham Karthik and Manjima Mohan fell in love with each other and have been going steady for the past three years. While the actor has not opened up about the reports, the actress called the news as baseless and that it hurt her parents.

However the latest buzz in Kollywood is that Gautham and Manjima are said to be very much in love and their engagement will take place in Karthik's farmhouse in Ooty soon. Meanwhile as if to authenticate it the rumoured couple were spotted together at the engagement of one Gopi a close friend of Gautham in Theni.
