Young actor Gautham Karthik's 'Rangoon' has entered its second weekend at the box office. The film has generated positive reviews and good word of mouth and it is expected to be the first hit film for Gautham who made his debut with director Mani Ratnam's 'Kadal' that released in 2013.

Now the son of veteran actor Karthik will have another release this month. 'Ivan Thandhiran' directed by director R.Kannan been officially confirmed to hit the screens on June 30, 2017. The new posters of the film carry the release date.

Kannan a former associate of Mani Ratnam has directed popular films like 'Jeyamkodan', 'Kanden Kadhalai', 'Vandhan Vendran' and 'Settai'. This film stars Gautham Karthik and Shraddha Srinath in lead roles. RJ Balaji plays an important supporting character in the film. S.S.Thaman has provided the music score.

'Ivan thanthiran' has been certified with a clean U certificate by the Censor board.
