Director Gautham Menon has expressed his frustration regarding the release struggles of his film ‘Dhruva Natchathiram.’ The movie, delayed for several years due to various complications, has yet to see its release despite multiple attempts. While Gautham has since moved on to direct a Malayalam film starring Mammootty, set for a January 23 release, he opened up about the lack of support he faced during the issues surrounding ‘Dhruva Natchathiram.’

Speaking about the situation, Gautham said, "There was no one who volunteered to help or even call me to discuss the problems with the film’s release. People here react with indifference even if a movie performs well." He highlighted that producer Thanu would occasionally reach out to ask if he needed help, and director Lingusamy showed support by trying to assist in the film’s release, though he faced his own challenges. Gautham clarified that he wasn't the original producer of the film but had taken responsibility for its release.

He also mentioned that industry insiders labeled the film as problematic, which created further challenges when pitching it to studios. Despite these roadblocks, Gautham remains hopeful, noting the continued buzz and expectations surrounding the movie, fueled by teasers and promotional efforts. However, beyond Thanu and Lingusamy, no one in the industry has yet shown active interest in helping him resolve the release issues.
