Popular Delhi based model Geeta Basra who has starred in Hindi movies such as 'The Train' and 'Dil Dosth' will make her debut in Tamil films opposite Sundar C. in the film 'Vaada'.

Director G. Venkatesh who is currently shooting 'Durai' with Arjun is slated to direct the film. With 'Durai' almost nearing completion planning for his next film has already begun.

Since Geeta Basra, like so many other heroines in the Tamil film industry, does not know Tamil, a language expert has been appointed to teach her the language.

'Vaada' would also feature Vivek, Jairam, Aasish Vidyarthi, Kalabhavan Mani and Shayaji Shinde in prominent roles.

The film is produced by Screenplay Entertainment and shooting would start on August 16. Interestingly, the film will start its shooting in a Sivan Koil in Rishikesh. Despite many Hindi and Telugu films being shot there this will be the first time a Tamil film will be shot there.
