The teaser launch event for "Geethanjali Malli Vachindi," starring Anjali, has been planned as a unique and special one. The teaser of this horror film will be released in a graveyard, specifically at the crematorium in Begumpet, on Saturday, February 24, at seven o'clock in the evening. The announcement of the teaser release date was made through a video showcasing the Begumpet cremation ground, which has since gone viral on social media.
However, this unconventional choice of venue has led to some criticism and trolling from netizens. Some view this decision as creative, while others argue that releasing the teaser of a horror film in a crematorium is inappropriate and takes the concept of creativity to extreme levels.
"Geethanjali Malli Vachindi" serves as a sequel to the 2014 horror film "Geetanjali," which was a commercial hit. Alongside Anjali, Srinivasa Reddy, Satyam Rajesh, and Shakalaka Shankar, who played key roles in "Geetanjali," will also be seen in this sequel. Directed by Sivathurlapati, this horror-comedy marks his directorial debut, with Kona Venkat providing the story and screenplay. The film is produced by MVV Satyanarayana and GV under the banners of MVV Cinema and Kona Film Corporation.
This film is significant for Anjali as it marks her 50th movie as a heroine. Recently, the makers released the first look of Anjali in the movie, where she is seen in a dancer's attire in the Bhavanti style, which has garnered attention and gone viral. The film is set to be released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada in March or April as a summer gift.
Anjali, who has been away from lead roles for some time, is diversifying her roles. She has appeared in a pivotal role in Pawan Kalyan's "Vakeel Saab" and a special song in Nitin's "Macharla Niyojaka Vargam." Anjali is currently involved in significant acting roles in Vishwak Sen's "Gangs of Godavari" and Ram Charan's "Game Changer."
Additionally, she is making her debut in OTT with a Telugu web series called "Bahiskarana." Anjali is also receiving promising opportunities in Tamil and Malayalam cinema, as seen with the recent screening of the movie "Yaju Kadal Yaju Malai," starring Nivin Paul and Anjali, at the Rotterdam International Film Festival.
