Gopika replaces Mamta in 'Keerthichakra

Gopika will play the lead opposite Mohanlal in 'Keerthichakra' instead of Mamta Mohandas, who walked out of the film due to personal reasons. The film which is being shot in Kashmir essays the story of an army officer in Kargil.
Mohanlal is playing the role of Javed Hussain an army commando in 'Keerthichakra'. The film is written and directd by Major Ravi, who was in the army serving the motherland in Kashmir during the Kargil wartime. The film is heard to be based on some real life incidents which the director faced when he was in Kashmir.
