Govindu give Relief to releases

It is go ahead signal from Govindu! As the UFO and Qube management has sought 15 days time to discuss with the CEO on the demand of Kannada cinema industry, the apex body KFCC has given green signal for films in queue to release on 16th of March.

As the holidays are lined up for Ugadi festival on March18, four out of seven films declared for release on 16th of March are hitting silver screen this Friday.
KFCC President Sa Ra Govindu announced that before 30th March the result will be known from UFO and Qube on slashing of 50 percent of existing tariff. The films releasing on 16 and 23 March would get these benefits. As of now the existing tariffs are deposited for UFO and Qube service providers.

Although the period is very short a few of the Kannada film producers sensing the disturbance of rush of releases in the coming weeks came forward for release on 16th of March. They are a royal love story ‘O Premave’ of Manoj Kumar, Dhandupalya 3 of director Srinivasa Raju, Nanagishta of director Dinesh Baboo and newcomer team ‘Idam Premam Jeevanam’ debut direction of Raghavanka.

Already 10 Kannada films are lined up for release on 23rd of March. The time is short for four releases to take up publicity yet they are taking risk of releases. The films like Yogi Dhuniya, Mukyamantri Kaldodnappo, Heegondu Dina and Sojiga likely to hit on 16th of March have now opted for 23rd March for release all over Karnataka.
