GPay money from US to India from now!

With Google Pay partnering with Western Union and Wise, it's now possible for the users of GPay in the US to send money to users of the app in India as well as Singapore.

The payments app is looking at expanding its crossborder payments feature by the end of 2021. Just the Western Union will enable the expansion in as many as 200 countries. This is being seen as a huge push to the remittances segment.

Those using GPay in India wouldn't be able to send money to the US users, though.

Reacting to the issue, a Twitter user said, "This should potentially open up a lot of US focused (micro) businesses. The opportunity is huge - would worry about the regulatory framework though!"
