Gautham Karthick-Lakshmi Menon get a huge relief

In 2013 when Gautham Karthick was still a fresher after the not so flattering 'Kadal' debut and Lakshmi Menon riding high with 'Kumki' were teamed up for a film 'Sippai' directed by Saravanan of 'Silambattam' fame. The film was ninety percent complete when it ran into financial trouble and has ever since been stalled.
After a string of flops young Gautham Karthick has had a hit in 'Rangoon' which also had critics praising his performance. In a positive turn of events 'Sippai' has been taken over by a new producer Thanigailvelan and the remaining portions of the film is set to be shot for fifteen days in July with which it will be ready for release. The Yuvan Shankar Raja musical is touted to have student uprising as its core subject.
