Expectations

'Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge' had a comical flair on the lines of films based on family entertainers. The movie managed to entertain its audience more on the small screen and ended up among one of the enjoyed films from recent times.

Years later the film makers are back with its sequel in the form of 'Guest Iin London', where the theme is same but the characters and settings have been changed as per the contemporary times.

The movie has been postponing its release due to which all the curiosity and buzz has dried out. Though, the presence of PareshRawal still has mild amount of expectations.

Story

'Guest Iin London' is a story of Aaryan (Kartik Aaryan), who is in live-in relation with Anaya (Kriti Kharbanda) in order to get citizenship of the United Kingdom. A Pakistani officer Habibi (Sanjay Mishra) keeps his strict eye on this couple in order to avoid any fraud. Aaryan's world takes a drastic turn with the arrival of his long distance relative Chacha (Paresh Rawal) and Chachi (Tanvi Azmi). Chacha and Chachi takes over the control of Aaryan and Anaya's life and fails to go back to their home.

The 'Glitz' Factor

The movie starts with a couple of enjoyable scenes such as Paresh Rawal's airplane journey, Paresh manipulates others by the usage of his sweet language. Sanjay Mishra being trashed by Paresh Rawal followed by a mild twist in the finale. These are the only funny scenes in the film, which is termed as an out and out comedy.

Sanjay Mishra's cameo is welcomed. Tanvi Azmi lends good support.

The 'Non-Glitz' Factor

The story is highly similar in format to its predecessor 'Atithi Kab Jaoge'. The settings and mild situations have been changed.The second half drags to the fullest with minimal screen happenings. The movie has loads of bad scenes which belong to the genre of toilet humour.

There are many lame Pakistani jokes which after a while fails to even get a mild smile on your face. The emotional scenes seemed forced and have been badly placed in the film. The writer of this film love taking cinematic liberties.

Every scene has loud Punjabi music and forced accent with the usage of Punjabi words. The important scenes lack the intensity, humour and emotional connect. The dialogues are terribly bad. The C.G.I work is highly weak and makes a mark on the wrong note.

The music is terribly bad and fails to connect with its audience due to usage of Punjabi language and loud music. The background music is equally bad and highly loud in Punjabi style.

Ashwini Dhir fails to create a comical film and ends up making a weak clone of it. His humour quotient dries away after a while. There is nothing creative nor engaging nor entertaining in this film. The loud toilet humour is cheap, boring and repetitive at times. Paresh Rawal ends up displaying a loud performance.

Kartik Aaryan fails to even tickle your funny bone. Kriti Kharbanda looks good but acts terribly.

Final 'Glitz'

'Guest Iin London' is like a stale sequel which leave a bad taste for a long time.
