As GV Prakash Kumar's upcoming film 'Rebel' is gearing up for a grand release on March 22nd, the makers unleashed the official trailer today in a grand event in Chennai. Actor Dhanush launched the same through social media. The 2.5-minute video is now doing rounds on the internet.

'Rebel' is a powerful film about the retaliation of Tamil people in Kerala after facing discrimination. Based on true events, this socio-political flick is directed by Nikilesh RS. Sensational Malayalam actress Mamitha Baiju of 'Premalu' fame is paired with GV Prakash in this movie. The trailer shows GV Prakash as a daring Tamil college student in a Kerala college.

The latter half of the trailer shows GV Prakash rising against the prejudice faced by Tamils in Kerala, igniting a political feud. 'Rebel' promises to be a gripping revolutionary drama with strong dialogues and grand production values. GV Prakash scores the music with cinematography by Arun Radhakrishnan, editing by Vetre Krishnan and stunts by Sakthi Saravanan.
