Hansika Motwani Moves To High Court On Domestic Violence Case

Actress Hansika has moved the Bombay High Court seeking to quash the domestic violence case filed against her and her mother. A petition to this effect has been submitted, requesting the court to dismiss the charges that stemmed from a complaint filed by her brother’s wife. The case dates back to 2022, following the separation of Hansika’s brother, Prashant Motwani, and his wife, TV actress Muskan James, who were married in 2020.
Based on Muskan’s complaint, a case was registered under the Domestic Violence Act against Hansika, her brother Prashant, and their mother Jyothi. In February 2025, the Mumbai Sessions Court granted Hansika and her mother anticipatory bail.
Now, seeking complete relief, they have approached the High Court for quashing the case. A bench comprising Justice Sarang Kotwal and Justice S.M. Modak has issued notices to Muskan James and scheduled the next hearing for July 3. The outcome will determine whether the case proceeds further or is dismissed entirely.
