Nandamuri Balakrishna was born on June 10, 1960 and turns 60 today. The actor, popularly called as ‘Lion’ by his fans, is popular for his massy roles and amazing performances. Besides acting, Balakrishna is an amazing dancer as well. On his 60th birthday, here are some interesting facts about the actor.
1. Balakrishna has never endorsed any brand till now though he has received many offers. The reason is that he considers being part of a brand and promoting it among his fans is something he considers wrong.
2. Balakrishna had entered the Telugu film industry when he was 14 with the film called Thatamma Kala and this was in 1974. He worked with his father late actor Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao in this film.
3. Balakrishna is an educated person, and back in those days itself, he had got a degree from Nizam College in Hyderabad.
4. He is someone who believes a lot in Astrology and Numerology. He uses the same formula for his films also and his calculations have never gone wrong.
5. Currently, and undoubtedly, he is the face of Nandamuri family and the pride of the family.
6. He stepped into politics just like his father, and has made a name for himself. After dividing AP in 2014, Balakrishna competed as MLA in the Telugu Desam Party and won from Hindupur. In this year's elections in 2019, Balakrishna has contested from Hindupur for the Telugu Desam Party.
7. He is one of those very few actors on who India Today magazine issued a special edition.
8. At the 43rd International Film Festival of India, Balakrishna was the guest of the honour and this is a rare honour which not many Telugu actors have got.
