Manchu Manoj comes with the responsibility of carrying Mohan Babu's legacy forward. As he celebrates his birthday today, the actor has a proud release in Oo Kodatara Ulikki Padatara very soon. This year is special for him for the reason that he is debuting in Tamil. OKUP is arguably the costliest of his films.

Registering modest success with his debut in Donga Dogadi, Manoj has come a long way. Prayanam and Nenu Meeku Telusa put him on a higher pedestal. Known for his quirky mannerisms, he takes pleasure in imitating his father. For doing which in Bindaas, he has received a Nandi!

The birthday boy doesn't budge when it comes to taking risks doing stunts. Accomplishing feats without a body double has been the USP of his films, especially Mr. Nookayya. With two flops in a row, the actor does need a hit at this moment. OKUP, where he is sharing space with Balakrishna, offers him a chance to bounce back.
