Happy Birthday, Richa

  • IndiaGlitz, [Tuesday,March 20 2012]

When she got an enviable launch in Shekhar Kammula's Leader, everybody thought that she would continue to latch on to any and every big offer. Richa Gangopadhyaya refused to allow herself to be cast in stereotypical roles. In retrospect, she has not only held her own but also going places. (We mean Kollywood).

She had a hit in the form of Mirapakay last Sankranthi. She seemed hot opposite the Mass Maharaja, and she is all set to add oomph factor opposite Prabhas in Vaaradhi. Come May, Richa will hopefully have another hit in her kitty.

The model turned actress had two consecutive releases in Tamil last year, 'Mayakkam Enna' followed by 'Osthi', both with top notch actors, Dhanush and Simbu. Both the films were declared as hits in the BO.

While she brought out the glam doll in her as Neduvali in 'Osthi', an out and out commercial entertainer, her debut 'Mayakkam Enna' brought in much critical acclaim to the actress. She was praised for her performance as Yamini, a confused girlfriend, an ardent lover and a devoted wife who stands by her husband through all odds.

IG wishes the gorgeous young lady a very happy birthday!
