Famous actress and politician Vijayashanti, who is often called as 'Lady Superstar of South India', turns an year older today. She is one of the most successful actresses in Tollywood in the 90's and has paired up with big guns of Tollywood like Krishna, Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna, Venkatesh and Nagarjuna.

She has even won the National award as the best actress for the film,'Karthavyam'. She is the recipient of Film fare award for best actress for five times and won four Nandi awards. Vijayashanti is also a very good politician and has even served as a member of parliament (MP).
