Hari Hara Veera Mallu: OTT Version Arrives with Major Changes

Pawan Kalyan’s much-hyped period action drama Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1 – Sword vs Spirit turned out to be a disappointment at the box office, drawing flak from both critics and audiences. The film, originally helmed by Krish Jagarlamudi and later completed by AM Jyothi Krishna, is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi — just four weeks after its theatrical release.

In a bid to deliver a more refined home-viewing experience, the makers have trimmed nearly 15 minutes from the OTT cut. Among the most notable changes:

The much-criticized horse-riding and arrow-shooting VFX scenes in the second half have been polished and shortened.

The original climax featuring Bobby Deol declaring “Aandhi Vachesindhi” and the cyclone confrontation has been completely removed.

On OTT, the film now wraps up right after the Asura Hananam song, directly leading into the Part 2 announcement.

Interestingly, this is the third version of the ending that audiences have seen, following the original theatrical release and the revised prints that were later rolled out in cinemas. The current OTT runtime stands at 2 hours 33 minutes.

The film features Nidhhi Agerwal as the female lead, alongside Sunil, Raghu Babu, Sachin Khedekar, Vennela Kishore, Kabir Duhan Singh, and the late Kota Srinivasa Rao in his final screen appearance. Hari Hara Veera Mallu is presented by AM Rathnam, produced by A. Dayakar Rao, with music composed by MM Keeravaani.
