Houston city drowns as Harvey brings in more rains

Houston, the most populous city in Texas and the fourth most populous in the United States has been on the receiving end of the tropical storm Harvey which brought heavy rainfall last week and is continuing throughout this week. The city which gets an annual rainfall of 50 inches has received 25 in the last two days and is expected to get devastating rain in the coming days.

Harvey is said to have claimed seven lives while thousands of people have been rescued by Navy boats and by air thousands are said to be waiting in the dark with rising waters. President Trump will be visiting Texas today the 29th of August and has assured the people that the congress will release funds for relief operations for the estimated 30000 people who have been displaced and are seeking shelter and another 450,000 who will get affected.
