Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has on Wednesday created a stir by threatening to behead a party worker during an election rally.

“Kya kar raha hai? Gardan kat dunga teri," the BJP leader is heard saying in a viral video. The Congress party is spreading the video for obvious reasons.

But, as per the CM, he threatened the party worker with an axe for a reason! "Today if someone, specially my party worker ties a silver crown on my head, I will get angry and I can't tolerate it. We ended this culture after coming to power. He is an old party worker and he didn't feel bad," Khattar has said reacting to the controversy.

The BJP leader has courted controversy just weeks ahead of the Assembly elections in the State.
