Recently, Narayankhed MLA M Bhupal Reddy reportedly celebrated his birthday in a grand way. Upon invitation, more than 500 people attended the function. This is in clear violation of the lockdown rules in existence throughout the country.
Telangana High Court, following a PIL filed by a social activist, has now slapped notices on the MLA and several officials. A bench of Chief Justice Raghvendra Singh Chauhan and Justice B Vijaysen Reddy issued the notice to the legislator.
Meanwhile, there is a buzz on social media that the house of the reporter, who had reported on the birthday event, was on Friday morning demolished by authorities because it is allegedly an "illegal construction".
