Here is why Pawan Kalyan didn't attend Niharika's engagement

Niharika Konidela's engagement took place on Thursday evening at a hotel in Hyderabad. Chiranjeevi and his wife Surekha, Ram Charan and his wife Upasana, Allu Arjun and his wife Sneha Reddy were very much present on the occasion. However, Pawan Kalyan was absent. His absence has led to some speculation. Why did the 'Vakeel Saab' actor not grace the family event when he has been in Hyderabad? This is the question many are asking.
As per a report, the Jana Sena chief didn't attend it for a religious reason. Pawan has been strictly observing Chaturmasya Deeksha. As part of the penance, he hasn't been stepping out of his home after 6 PM. He is supposed to perform some rituals at home during the evening hours.
Pawan is learned to have personally visited Naga Babu's house to convey his wishes to Niharika.
In a recent interview, Pawan said that he has been practising Chaturmasa Deeksha since 2003. I used to observe the Deeksha for personal reasons. This year, I have done so with universal good in mind. Sleeping on the floor and eating food just for once a day are some of the rituals I have been practising, he added.
