In most areas in Hyderabad, till March or so, finding a house for rent used to be a tough ask. Not anymore. The pandemic has led to reverse migration, leaving landlords to put up 'To-let' boards in street after street.

A Deccan Chronicle report says that UPSC, APPSC, TSPSC aspirants living in areas such as Chikkadpally, Ashok Nagar, and RTC Crossroads have vacated in the last few weeks, what with coaching centres shut down and even UPSC exams postponed indefinitely. The aspirants are usually jobless and so, they can't afford to live in these relatively expensive areas when there are no exams anywhere in the sight.

The report adds that areas such as Ameerpet have seen many job aspirants vacating their rooms. This is the area where training institutes are in hundreds. With them being closed and the recession hitting the industry, youngsters have left for their native places.

Areas such as Abids, Basheerbagh and Gunfoundry, too, are facing a similar situation.

From migrant workers to Engineering graduates and aspirants for 'sarkar' jobs, everyone has left Hyderabad in thousands.
