Highlights of NTRs latest interaction with media

At the IPL promo event held on Tuesday afternoon, NTR was very candid in answering questions.  Here we bring you highlights.

1.  I like both playing and watching cricket.  But I am not watching it with frenzy these days.  I am disciplined while watching a match!

2.  It didn't take much time for me to decide to be IPL's brand ambassador.  If the reach widens, why not?  That made me jump into it.

3.  Our country has produced a number of great cricketers.  But since I grew up watching Sachin Tendulkar, he is easily my most favourite.

4.  I would be scared to portray someone on screen in a biopic.  I don't think I have the guts.  I love to do biopics but I will do it when I have the guts.

5.  'Simhadri' is like a sixer in my career.  I really cherish the film's success.  I have been out for a duck quite a few times later.  With age, I have started to look at hits and misses with equanimity.  Nobody is above success and failure.  But then, for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.  If you fall, a rise should follow!

6.  I really don't want to decide my son's future.  My parents never told me to become an actor.  It's my destiny.  My father must have thought that I was doing some job.  We shouldn't thrust down our likes and dislikes onto our children.

7.  I haven't thought about cricket LIVE commentary.  I will try someday, maybe.  By the way, Bigg Boss was like LIVE commentary!

8.  I was a professional badminton player when I was young.

9.  Sportsmen teach us to be humble towards our profession.  They play a game under so much pressure.  Success or failure, they will be answerable to people.  So, do what you are assigned to do.  Sometimes it's your day.  Sometimes it's not.  Success has many relatives.  Failure is an orphan.  Even in films, no film fails because of hero, director or somebody else exclusively.  It's the team.

10.  Charan already said something recently (about the RRR movie).  I too want to say the same thing.  Rajamouli is yet to narrate the script.  It's not yet ready.  He asked us to be ready.  He will talk about the project someday and we will nod our heads in agreement!  There definitely will be competition.  It's not a two-way competition but a three-way one (himself, Charan and Rajamouli).  It will be a nuvva-nena thing.  But it will be very healthy. I always encourage healthy competition.
