HIGHLIGHTS: Pawan Kalyan's I-Day speech

Pawan Kalyan earlier this morning hoisted the Tricolour at his party's office in Hyderabad. Addressing the public, he later said in a videographed message that every Indian should read about our country's history.
"I have been inspired by the lives of many freedom fighters. I have read their autobiographies/biographies. The importance of a country is best known to those who don't have one. Think about Palestinians," he said.
"It's important for us to learn about our history, about Gandhiji's sacrifices and Ambedhkar's vision. If you read them, you will know how lucky we are to be Indians. Ours is a plural, multi-cultural, multi-religious country," Pawan said.
"Although we are politically united, there is lacking in us emotional integration. But diversity is our strength," he said.
Comparing India and Pakistan, Pawan said, "Can Pakistan have a Hindu Prime Minister? We have had Muslims like Abdul Kamal and Zakir Hussain at the helm. We deeply revere the Frontier Gandhi, Khan Abdul Gaffar Khan. Our spirit is that of tolerance. When anybody, whatever may be his caste or religion, is in danger, crores of people will speak in one voice," he said.
