Highway

Films capture journeys but in Imtiaz Ali's much-awaited 'Highway', the journey has made the film.

Like his earlier successful films `Jab We Met' and `Rockstar', director Imitiaz Ali yet again with his latest feature `Highway' brings in an interesting casting coup of sorts by roping in the young and cute Alia Bhatt and the brilliant actor Randeep Hooda. The film, produced by Window Seat Films and presented by Sajid Nadiadwala, will be released worldwide by UTV Motion Pictures.

`Highway', which has mesmerising music by the maestro A R Rahman, had its World Premiere held at the 64th Berlin Film Festival in the panorama section.

For shooting the film, the cast and crew travelled through six north Indian states - including Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Kashmir - and 15 towns and cities. The film captures the landscape of the different regions as it goes along. `Highway' has been shot by Anil Mehta, lyrics by Irshad Kamil and the sound is designed by Resul Pookutty.

'Highway' is set in six different states and captures the journey of two completely opposite people who are thrown together by fate.

`Highway' will release worldwide on 21st February, 2014.
