Music director Hip Hop Thamizha had started his career as an independent composer and had sung songs in the music of composers like Anirudh, before becoming a music director himself and had scored music for movies like Thani Oruvan, Kathakali, Aranmanai 2, Aambala etc.

He had turned director and actor with the 2017 movie Meesaya Murukku which was based on his life experiences, and the movie was produced by director Sundar C and Kushboo in their Avni movies, and following the success of the movie, they again teamed up for Natpe Thunai.

Directed by debutant Parthiban, Natpe Thunai also emerged commercially successful and now the music director and actor has revealed that he is joining hands with Sundar C  for the third time, as he tweeted "We hit two in a row and we are gearing up for a hatrick #MeesayaMurukku #NatpeThunai & now #HHT3 - #SundarC & #HiphopTamizha once again".
