The romantic song of Happy New Year, Manwa Laage which is winning hearts across the globe and trending on the top on Twitter since last three days, has now crossed 2.6 million views on youtube in 48 hours. After crossing one million views on youtube in less than 21 hours, it's also the most viewed and most shared video in India in the past 24 hours. The song is one of the fastest to achieve this number.

Farah Khan, Director of Happy New Year said, "I am ecstatic! It's the first song we recorded two years ago. Arijit was relatively lesser known then. Vishal - Shekhar and Irshad Kamil have done a fabulous job and I am happy that people are also loving the picturisation of the song."

The count has just begun. For a Bollywood film, it has happened for the first time that a romantic song has been picked up by viewers so well in such large numbers and that too in record time. Also it's the first song in recent times that features the entire cast of the film in a romantic number as opposed to just the couple.

The song has been composed by Vishal-Shekhar, written by Irshad Kamil and sung by Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal. Manwa Laage, features Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh Khan besides Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah.
