Actor Soori has made an emotional appeal to respect the hard work of those involved in creating films. The recently released movie 'Maman', directed by Prashanth Pandiraj and starring Soori, Rajkiran, Swasika, and Aishwarya Lekshmi, has received a warm response, especially in B and C centers. However, there's been a surge in illegal downloads of the film online.
In his X (formerly Twitter) post, Soori stated that a film is not just entertainment but a combination of dreams, dedication, and relentless hard work by many. He emphasized that this message is not only for his film but for all movies that involve the efforts of over a hundred people, including sacrifices and unwavering belief.
“Creating a film is like giving birth to a child. From scriptwriting to filming, editing, music, and marketing, each stage is filled with emotions and commitment. Whether the film is a hit or flop, it is still a journey filled with pain, joy, and hope,” he said.
Soori expressed disappointment over people proudly sharing pirated versions online, stating that this act undermines years of hard work. He also stressed that films can reflect real lives and deliver important social messages, and pirating them is not only illegal but also a morally wrong act.
He concluded with a humble request: “Please don’t download movies illegally. Watch them through proper channels and respect the effort of those behind them. Your support is the biggest award a creator can receive. If we all act responsibly, cinema can grow even further.”
