Host of releases this February

February brings with it a host of movies ready to hit the screens. With Valentine's Day around (14 February) and annual exams scheduled to begin this March followed by Cricket World Cup, the producers and directors are planning to come fast with their releases. This week-end, Vijaya T Rajendhar’s Veerasaami, Sathyaraj starrer Adavadi and Jeeva's Pori will be released.

Veerasaami, produced, directed and enacted by TR himself features Mumtaz opposite him. Vijaya T Rajendhar says that it would be a commercial entertainer, sure to appease the youngsters.

Sathyaraj's Adavadi is ready for release too. It features Sathyaraj and Radha in lead roles and is directed by Bharath Hanna.

Jeeva's long-pending Pori, touted as one of the best commercial entertainers, will grace theatres this week-end. Jeeva riding high after successful outings in Ram, Dishoom and E, has emerged a saleable actor. Pooja plays his heroine.

Also ready for release is the Jayam Ravi and Bhavana starrer Deepavali, produced by director Lingusamy for Thirupathi Brothers. This film, directed by Ezhil, is touted to be a commercial potboiler with all the right ingredients in just the right proportions.

Further lined up for release this month are a few movies including Sathyaraj's Periyar, his son Sibiraj's Lee, cinematographer-director Jeeva's Unnale Unnale, director Gowtham's Pachai Kili Muthucharam, Prakash Raj's home production Mozhi with Prithviraj, Jyothika, Prakash Raj and Swarnamalya in prominent roles, and a few small budget movies.

Periyar, which chronicles the life of the great revolutionary leader, features Sathyaraj in the title role and is directed by Gnanarajasekaran. Lee, produced by Sathyaraj, features Sibiraj and Nila in prominent roles and it is directed by Kokki fame Prabhu Solomon.

Watch out for Gowtham's Pachai Kili Muthucharam. It is a thriller featuring Sarath Kumar, Jyothika, debutant Andrea and the popular model Milind Soman.

With Valentine's Day round the corner, Jeeva is planning the release of his youthful entertainer Unnale Unnale. It features newcomer Vinay, Kajol's sister Tanisha, Sadha and Raju Sundaram. Songs by Harris Jeyaraj has already caught the attention of the masses.

A crowded schedule awaits this February. Let's wait and watch who wins the race!
