Did Dhanush approach Aishwarya Rai?

Some sections of the media have carried reports that Dhanush approached Aishwarya Rai for a powerful negative role in his VIP2' directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth and that the Bollywood beauty refused the offer citing that her role is not meaty enough.
It is being said that the team then brought Kajol on board for the role refused by Aishwarya Rai. This news is not very believable because Dhanush always gives equal if not more importance to his heroines like Trisha's in Kodi'. Anyway the much anticipated film will go on floors soon and will be a quickie produced by Kalaipuli S Dhanu.
