A bilingual biopic is being made on the life of the most celebrated South Indian leading ladies Savithri titled Nadigaiyar Thilagam` in Tamil and Mahanati` in Telugu. Keerthy Suresh is the lucky actress playing Savithri while Samantha is playing a parallel lead.

Sources reveal that Samantha will appear as a journalist in Nadigaiyar Thilagam` and it is through her eyes the life of Savithri will unfold in the movie. The film is directed by Nag Ashwin and shooting is expected to begin in a few weeks.
