Vijay`s fantasy film Puli` in which he is playing dual roles went on floors on November 10th 2014 and has been shooting non stop for the past 115 days in Chennai, Kerala and Andhra. Recently a huge village set was erected near Thalakonam by Art Director Muthuraj at an astronomical cost of Rs. 5.25 crores where Vijay`s opening song choreographed by Sridhar was shot.

The song besides Vijay,featured Shruti Hassan , Prabhu, Thambi Ramaiyah, Sathyan, Junior Balayya, Narein, Joe Malluri, Madhumitha, Anjalidevi and Gayathri and the presence of 200 dancers and 300 extras gave festival ambience to it. Plans are on for having another 25 days shooting in India and also a 15 day foreign shoot, which will have scenes featuring Vijay, Hansika, Sridevi and Sudeep. The Rs.120 Crore Puli` is directed by Chimbudevan and produced by Shibu Thameens and PT Selvakumar of SKT studios.
