Hunt begins for Vijay's next female lead

Illayathalapathy Vijay is all set to gun down Diwali with his Thuppakki, but his next project with A.L.Vijay is also being talked about frequently by the media. Director Vijay has confirmed signing Vijay for the project and reports suggest that the hunt for the female lead is going on aggressively.
After rumours initially suggested that Samantha or Amala Paul might get cast opposite to Vijay, it is now being said that the director wants a new face doing the role. One of the names that's been considered is Yami Gautham, from Bollywood who already has a Hindi film under her name and is currently working on Radha Mohan's next. Having already attracted several audiences with her ad films, Yami might just be the perfect choice for the Vijay-Vijay combo. But, only time can confirm if she's actually going to make it to the final list.
