Hurdle for Dr Vishnu Memorial Again

The problems are mounting up in the case of Dr Vishnuvardhana Memorial. On the day of foundation stone laying for Dr Vishnuvardhana Memorial almost the same time High Court ordered a stay on all activities.

The land acquisition according to villagers would be a raw deal if the government acquires for construction of memorial.

Mylasandra land in Turahalli reserve forest land where the foundation was laid on Tuesday morning at 10.30 in a government function was affected with stay order based on a public interest litigation challenging the state government's move to allot a forest land for the memorial. Sharath R Babu and two others are petitioners, PIL led to the court stay order.

The state government maintained that the said piece of land did not fall in the buffer zone of the Turahalli reserve forest.
