Hyundai has finally unveiled the much-awaited Santro this day at Chennai. The all-new Santro will be officially launched on October 23 and the pre-bookings are open for the same from October 10 to October 22.

The hatchback is codenamed AH2 and it is reportedly based on the last generation of Hyundai i10. It is equipped with a 1.1 liter four cylinder-epsilon engine and will be updated to meet the new BS VI emission norms. The new Santro will be the first hatchback car in the country to have an AMT transmission as well. The car also comes with a CNG variant.

It also has a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, rear AC vent, and parking cameras. Hyundai is launching the new Santro in India before anywhere else in the world. The launch date also corresponds to 20 years of Hyundai in India’s automobiles market.
