Director Seenu Ramasamy is the one who made Vijay Sethupathi, a lead hero with his national award winning film Thenmerku Paruvakaatru' that released in 2010.

After a long gap the director-actor duo had joined hands for another film titled Idam Porul Eval' and the film generated enough buzz ever since it was announced. The film also stars Vishnu Vishal who had acted in Seenu Ramasamy's Neerparavai' which was also critically acclaimed. In this film, Nandita and Aishwarya Rajesh have been paired up with Vijay Sethupathi and Vishnu Vishal respectively. Adding to the charm of the film is the first time pairing up of music director Yuvan Shankar Raja and ace lyricist Vairamuthu. The songs that were released towards the end of last year proved have lived up to the mark and some of the melodies in the album can be expected to stay as listeners favourites for years to come.

However the film that was launched in early 2014 is long and audience were clueless on when the film would release. Now, good news has come from a team regarding the film's release.

The makers have officially announced that the film will release in the month of July.

Already Kamal's 'Papanasam', Dhanush's 'Maari', Sivakarthikeyan's 'Rajini Murugan' and Simbu's 'Vaalu' have eyed a July release.
