He was hailed by many youngsters for going all the way to Rameswaram from Chennai and paying his last respects to the former President APJ.Abdul Kalam. Photos showing him shedding tears looking at the mortal remains of India's most loved leaders were being shared virally.
Today, the veteran actor and politician have done a far higher step ahead in showing his respect and making a tribute to Dr.Kalam. In his capacity as the Opposition Leader of Tamil Nadu Vijayakanth has sent a letter to the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting him to take necessary actions to celebrate the birthday of the most respected visionary as the National Students Day.
