Ilaiyaraaja says Jesus had no resurrection

Ilaiyaraaja has angered several Christians with his recent remarks about Jesus Christ never coming back to life after his crucifixion.  Speaking at an event, he said that there are "proofs as brought out by several YouTube videos" that there was no resurrection with respect to Jesus.

He went on to add that Ramana Maharshi died at the age of 16 and was born again.  It's the true resurrection, he opined.

The legendary composer, who is a Padma Vibhushan recipient, commented that "there is none like Ramana Maharshi", a great saint revered by the likes of Superstar Rajinikanth.

Following his remarks, a Christian group has demanded that he should be arrested for trying to incite communal tensions.
