Ilayaraja to perform live for 'NEP'

Even as Harris Jayaraj and his troupe of singers and musicians are preparing to perform live at the audio launch of 'Maattrraan', the news is filtering that maestro Ilayaraja will present a live concert at the music release of 'Neethane En Ponvasantham'.

Directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, the film has Jiiva and Samantha in lead roles. A grand audio launch function is being planned in Chennai, in which who is who of Tamil cinema are expected to participate.

At the function, Ilayaraja will perform live the tracks he composed for Neethane En Ponvasantham. The event will be a big treat to the fans of the Isaignani, sources say.

It is said that the audio launch will take place at a posh auditorium in Chennai on September 1. Besides songs from NEP, chartbusters of Ilayaraja and Gautham will also be performed, add sources.
