One of the notable characteristics of Ilayathalapathy Vijay is his benevolence and the importance he gives to friendships. The actor saw huge success in his yesteryear movie 'Kushi', directed by SJ Suryah. Ravi Mariya worked as the director's assistant in 'Kushi', and Vijay has since shared a bond with him.
Now, Ravi has been cast as the villain in the upcoming police story, 'Jilla', and Vijay was seen interacting at length with Ravi on the sets of the film, cherishing old friendship. The two were visibly happy about the reunion after so many years. 'Jilla' is directed by debutante Nesan and has Vijay and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead in cop roles, and Mohanlal, Mahat, Poornima, Nivedha Thomas and others to its star cast.
