It was earlier reported that Amala Paul might reprise the role she did in ‘Vettai’ in the Hindi remake as well. But industry insiders now have it that pan Indian actress Ileana might be approached for this role where she has to share screen space with Shahid Kapoor.

The yet-to-be-titled venture in Hindi will be produced by UTV Motion Pictures and will mark the foray of Lingusamy as a director in Bollywood. It’s further said that the film will go on floors in the first week of May at the Ramoji Film City.

So who will reprise Maddy’s role in the remake? Ali Zafar of ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ fame will be seen in this role. He plays the elder brother of Shahid who is forced to become a police official.

Initially Madhavan was approached for this role by Lingu but the actor although thrilled with the offer politely refused as he is taking rest thanks to a knee injury. In fact, he is on a six month break from films!

Joining the list of Tamil remakes in Hindi is this flick that promises action, emotion and drama. The film throws light on two brothers; while the elder is meek the younger one is volatile. We have to wait to know who will be paired opposite Ali Zafar, for Sameera played the role in the original.

Ileana currently has ‘Barfee’ with Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra and she’s also touted to play the female lead in ‘Khiladi 786’ with Akshay Kumar. The going is sure great for this Goan damsel!
