Akshay Kumar is one of the most bankable and popular star currently. He has the power and influence to bring the audience back to the theatres. His upcoming spy thriller 'Bell Bottom' was supposed to achieve this feat but recently, makers have began to thinks about the possibilities of a digital release.
With the release of 'Laxmmi', Akshay became the first A list actor to have a digital film release but it met with poor reception. According to an article published by Bollywood Hungama, The producers of Bell Bottom – Jackky Bhagnani and Vashu Bhagnani – have started conversations with Amazon Prime to explore the possibility of a direct to digital release, and so far, both the parties seem to be on the same page. They are discussing various prospects including the financials, and there might be some clarity within the next one month. But at this point of time, team Bell Bottom is definitely exploring the direct to digital option of release.
