Imran Khan raises nuclear bogey over India's CAA

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has resorted to the nuclear bogey over India's Citizenship Amendment Act. Addressing a gathering at Geneva's Global Refugee Forum, he said that the Act will lead to a refugee problem in South Asia besides triggering conflict between nuclear-armed nations (read India and Pakistan).

The Indian foreign minister, on his part, slammed Khan for making unwarranted and gratuitous remarks over something that is totally an internal matter of India. Rightly so, India has highlighted the way Pakistan's minorities have been persecuted mercilessly since 1947.

Khan has been resorting to hyperbole endlessly ever since the Balakot air strike. In his latest rhetoric, he said that millions of Muslims will flee India in the wake of the abrogation of Article 370 in Kashmir and the enactment of the new citizenship law.

He also made it clear that Pakistan will not accept Muslim refugees from India.
