Ulaga Naayagan Kamal Haasan starrer long-delayed project 'Indian 2' in ace director Shankar's directorial is likely to be resumed soon. The film has started showing signs of revival as the makers have sorted out their issues with the director. The team is keen on completing the outing before it faces any further setback.
Indian 2 is the sequel to the 1996 blockbuster by the Kamal-Shankar duo. The film's shooting was stopped after an unexpected accident that occurred on the sets in February last year, then COVID-19 which was then followed by the issue between director Shankar and Lyca Productions. 'Indian 2' has music by Anirudh and stars Priya Bhavani Shankar, Rakul Preet Singh, Kajal Agarwal, Bobby Simha, Siddharth and Samuthirakani.
Meanwhile, Indiaglitz already brought you the news that the team is looking for a replacement for some actors in the cast. Kajal Aggarwal, who is headlining the female lead role in Indian 2, is now rumoured to be pregnant and she is staying away from the limelight. So, the production house has planned to replace her with another actress than wait further.
The hot update is that the leading actress Tamannah has been roped into the magnum opus project to replace Kajal. The talented actress will be playing an elderly role in the film and she might undergo heavy makeup for the same. However, we should wait for an official confirmation. Also, the team should work on something out beforehand as two stars Vivek and Nedumudi Venu who had important roles in 'Indian 2' passed away.
