Rumors are swirling that Indian 3 may be shelved due to financial setbacks faced by its production company, leaving fans deeply concerned.
Lyca Productions, a major name in the Tamil film industry, has struggled to deliver a blockbuster after the success of Ponniyin Selvan parts 1 and 2. Recent releases like Chandramukhi 2, Lal Salaam, Vettaiyan, Indian 2, and Vidamuyarchi have all reportedly fallen short of expectations in terms of box office success.
With Indian 3 nearing completion, only a song sequence remains to be filmed. Reports suggest that director Shankar requested ₹20 crore for the song shoot and his remuneration. However, speculation is rife that Lyca Productions is hesitant to approve this budget, leading to uncertainty about the film’s fate.
This has sparked concerns that Indian 3 might be abandoned, although no official confirmation has come from either Lyca Productions or Shankar.
Adding to the disappointment, Kamal Haasan had previously expressed his enthusiasm for Indian 3, stating that he liked its story even more than Indian 2. With high expectations surrounding the film, these rumors have left fans worried about its future.
