Indian all-rounder Vijay Shankar got married to his fiancée Vaishali Visweswaran and the news was shared on social media by the cricketer's Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad, which he is a part of.

Vijay Shankar got engaged to Vaishali in August 2020, right before he left for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to take part in the 13h edition of IPL. Sharing a picture from the ceremony, Sunrises Hyderbad wrote, "Sending our best wishes to @vijay_41 on this very special day! May you have a happy and blessed married life #SRHFamily #OrangeArmy #SRH." KL Rahul, Yuzvendra Chahal, Karun Nair, Abhinav Mukund were among the cricketers who congratulated Vijay Shankar following the announcement.

After leaving the IPL midway owing to his injury, Vijay Shankar recently played one match for Tamil Nadu in the 2021 edition of the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy. In 12 ODIs and nine T20Is, the all-rounder scored 324 runs with a top score of 46. He has taken nine wickets as well.
