Indian Army to personnel: 'Delete Facebook, Instagram, Tinder, etc'

Days after a complete ban on 59 Chinese apps by the Indian government, the Indian Army has gone a step ahead to maintain data security among its personnel. The Army has reportedly directed them to delete 89 apps from their mobile mobiles.

Not just the usual suspects, but also popular apps such as Facebook, Tinder, PUBG and Instagram are there on the list. The deletions are mean to plug leakage of information, Army sources have been quoted as saying by news reports.

Snapchat, OkCupid, UC Browser, Bumble, ShareIt, Xender, Club Factory, among others, too, have been deemed problematic.
