Nandamuri Balakrishna, Veteran actor Mohan Babu, comedian Brahmanandam, MAA President Shivaji Raja and others have mourned the death of Gundu Hanumantha Rao.

Balayya said, "The death of Hanumantha Rao garu, who offered healthy humour to the audience, is an irreparable loss. I have done a few movies with him. He was a very soft-natured man. May his soul rest in peace. May his family have the strength to overcome the loss."

Mohan Babu said, "Hanumantha Rao garu acted in many movies under our Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures. He was not only a good actor but also a nice human being. He could do any role with ease. It's sad that such a man has left his body."

Brahmanandam said, "He entertained us with his comedy. He was a 'Dhanyajeevi'. No matter how many hardships he faced, he stood solid like a rock. I have known him for more than 30 years. We both received acclaim with 'Aha Naa Pellanta'. He would affectionately call me 'Bava'. He was to our resident only recently. I still can't believe he is no more."

Shivaji Raja said, "There is no place where he didn't give his performances in the Telugu States. MAA will always stand by Hanumantha Rao garu's family."
